Carolina Beer Temple is proud to announce our 2nd location, Carolina Beer Temple @ the Town of Ayrsley Shopping Center! Ayrsley is located in southwest Charlotte off of HWY 49/Tryon Rd. just south of I-485 in the Steele Creek area! Carolina Beer Temple @ Ayrsley will operate similarly to the original Carolina Beer Temple in Matthews – a craft beer store with a craft beer bar specializing in Carolina craft beers and Belgian ales, along with meads, ciders and craft beer from around the country.
We will be located at 2127 Ayrsley Town Boulevard Suite 101-B – we are in the Arcade Building across the breezeway from Portofino’s Italian Restaurant and next door to the new Rooney’s Deli. We’re behind Harry’s Tavern and across the parking lot from Piedmont Social House.
A Few Questions You May Be Pondering…
When will you be open? As soon as possible so we can bring fantastic craft beers to southwest Charlotte! We’ve got a few hoops to jump through, so stay tuned to this blog or the Carolina Beer Temple Facebook page for updates.
How many taps will you have? We will be opening with 26 taps! 4 of those will feature Belgian ales, 1 will be dedicated to cider and 1 will be dedicated to mead! The rest are dedicated to craft beer, largely local or Carolina made.
Why did you choose Ayrsley? Carolina Beer Temple prides itself on being independent and local. We specifically chose downtown Matthews for our first location because we were going to be largely surrounded by independent businesses and not by a lot of national chains. The Town of Ayrsley, while not devoid of national chains (neither is Matthews), is home to smaller chains and independent bars/restaurants. We felt the spirit of Ayrsley lined up with the values of Carolina Beer Temple. We also felt that southwest Charlotte really needed a good craft beer bottle shop and we’re thankful we have the opportunity to bring Carolina Beer Temple to Ayrsley!
Carolina Beer Temple in Matthews is known for its Belgian Ale selection, will Ayrsley be offering a similar selection? Yes! We will have at least four taps dedicated to Belgian ales, plus we will offer a fantastic selection of Belgian ales available for purchase to go!
Carolina Beer Temple in Matthews is known for its Tap Takeover nights featuring breweries and flights, will Ayrsley be doing the same? Yes! We are modeling the Ayrsley location to be very much like the Matthews location.
Is the space larger or smaller that the original Carolina Beer Temple in Matthews? Our 2nd location at Ayrsley is almost 1,000 feet larger than Carolina Beer Temple in Matthews, so more room for more seating! The patio space outside is also substantially larger than our original location.
Will you be filling growlers? Yes! At Carolina Beer Temple @ Ayrsley we plan to be filling growlers of all of our draft selections. For those in Matthews, we ask that you visit our soon-to-be-open sister store Temple Mojo for growler fills.
Will you be selling food? Again, like Carolina Beer Temple, we will offer a small selection of prepackaged sandwiches (and wraps) for sale on site. However, we will not have a kitchen and we will not be preparing food. Like our original location, we encourage our patrons to visit our neighbors and bring outside food in! There are so many great options all around us, including Portofino’s Italian Restaurant, Harry’s Tavern, Salsa’s Mexican Restaurant, Rooney’s Deli (coming soon), Saffron Indian Cuisine and several more within walking distance!
Are you hiring? Yes. Please inquire at firstname.lastname@example.org
